examples of palette changes:
yet another example of a painting in progress--sometimes it takes me weeks before I decide on the colors, but it's really fun--kinda like shopping and trying on new outfits...
thank yoiu, i feel much better now...
version one, the wild red one, was painted after spending the day with my friends lisa grey, jason pollen and adam sherry--we looked at way too many brightly colored art quilts--but most of all i think i was reacting to the vibrant miz cherie st. cyr...
(version 2) after i had some time to be alone in my studio I calmed down and was back to my usual serene palette...this girl had to be re-painted immediately--I was starting to get a stomach ache from too much color...
although Tasie likes to tell everyone i won't let her watch tv in the studio here is PROOF that she actually is allowed to watch mtv. law and order and lifetime movies in the afternoon...(she's cutting fabric to stuff the dolls...)
BIG NEWS: Tasie is now too good to work for her mummsie --she's living in Brooklyn and working for Judge Hatchet and Judge Lopez (and trying to decide on law school...)
hooking stuff is in the works...
tasie, the doll expert, says to sell some dolls...so I'll work on photgraphing them this weekend...i really think she was less bossy when she had a boyfriend so if any of you know any nice boys...
